The EU Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Irchad Razaaly has arrived in the country on 1st September 2021.
He paid a courtesy call on Honorable Ms. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and presented copies of the letters accrediting him as European Union Ambassador to the Minister.
He assumed office on 2nd September 2021
2ND EDITION – CIRCULAR ECONOMY SEMINAR
The European Union Delegation to Ghana, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology present the 2nd edition of the Circular Economy Seminar.

Venue: Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre
The EU Circular Economy Seminar intends to create awareness on the need to promote a more circular economy, but more especially to identify actions and measures in Ghana to boost the efficient use of resources by moving to a clean, circular economy that can contribute to mitigating climate change, revert biodiversity loss and cut pollution.
Objectives
- To promote the EU Green Deal/Circular Economy Action Plan
- To advocate for uptake of circular economy policies in Ghana
- To identify potential circular economy initiatives to be implemented in Ghana by different kinds of stakeholders (notably through a CE contest)
- To promote EU-Ghana business partnerships and prepare the ground for the creation of sustainable businesses in plastic, electronics, construction, and agriculture.
